equipridepicEquiPride™ by SweetPro® now comes with all the usual benefits plus garlic! Help keep your horse healthy and flies away!

Why add garlic? It’s a great remedy for all types of chest infections and helps reduce mucus. Garlic helps to reduce the chance of circulatory issues and strokes by keeping the blood thin. It also lowers cholesterol levels. It can help in getting rid of intestinal parasites and digestive infections. It helps to reduce blood sugar levels and is thought to help with late-onset diabetes. Garlic is an effective, all-natural aid to repelling insects. Once ingested, non metabolized garlic active ingredients are excreted via the breath and skin–repelling flies.Garlic is a natural food preservative, enhances food palatability, aids in respiration, protects skin from toxins, aids in preventing infection, contains antibacterial properties, can decrease methane emissions in cattle, and can help reduce pink eye.– according to Chevallier, Andrew. Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine. DK, 2000.

Science:
All our SweetPro products, including EquiPride, break from the tradition of molasses and starch-fed products for horses. EquiPride’s advanced patented process, supports a healthy digestive system, overall health and performance at its best.

Product Specifics:
The yeast in Probiotein, cultured on a media of wheat, oats, barley malt and flax, is rich in biotin and other nutrients to aid digestion.
Pre-biotics, also known as oligosaccharides feed the beneficial probiotic bacteria, are a key part of the ProBiotein additive. These prebiotics help maintain good digestive tract health.
Enzymes, the catalysts of digestion are included in a fibrinolytic, amylolytic & proteolytic array to assist fiber, protein and mineral utilization.
Flax helps in many ways. The oil is dense energy which is high in Omega 3 fatty acid content. Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid often missing in modern diets. Flax is also among the richest sources of lignans, which help improve immune function.
Organic complexed minerals are featured. Zinc, copper and manganese are complexed, or bound to protein instead of other minerals, assuring high bioavailability.

How to Feed:
EquiPride is fed at 1 oz. per 100lbs of body weight to maintain horse health. You may up to double to dose if your horse has undergone surgery, illness, or simply has had a bought of colic or poor hooves or needs to gain weight.

This product is highly fermented. Some horses are initially opposed to the smell and/or taste. Start small—1 oz. per feeding and build up to your horse’s maintenance dose. Another trick is to spray your feed with water or apple cider vinegar, then add EquiPride and mix. If your horse wants his grain he will eat the EquiPride, too. Within several days your horse should be eating the EquiPride just fine.

Many folks ask if they need to feed grain with this product. You may not need to depending on weight/condition of your horse and activity level. If you feel your horse needs added calories to maintain or increase weight we recommend you feed plain old oats (we offer organic oats) or hay pellets (see our Mountain Sunrise Hay pellets). We realize that many of our customers are happy with the grain they are feeding. You can simply add EquiPride to your grain (make sure you are not overloading your horse’s mineral package though). Also, make sure you take into account the 25% feed efficiency ratio or your horse may gain weight. If you don’t want this to happen, cut your grain back by 25% to maintain your horse’s current weight.
